Your own pace 12 - Original artwork

“Your own pace” is a collection is about allowing yourself to bloom at your own pace. The quality of the journey is more important than the speed and it’s important to remind ourselves to embrace every part of it.

I stepped away from social media for a month after feeling stuck and disconnected. I used that time to build healthier habits, journal, work on an important project and create 24 new paintings.

That single offline month gave me more clarity than a whole year spent scrolling and unconsciously comparing my life to others. I reflected on how at 25 years old, I was still navigating panic attacks, depression, self-doubt and low self-worth. I learnt that when you’re living in survival mode (something I did for nearly a decade), it makes real growth impossible until you find safety within yourself.

This experience reshaped how I think about timing: like tulips that quietly wait through winter before blooming in spring, growth can't be rushed and you have to learn to trust the timing. So enjoy the process in the meantime and focus on your inner growth and fulfilment.
